OEMS (Cooperation/Collaboration/Communication)

The North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services (NC OEMS) and The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) have established a successful relationship in the sharing of mapping and analysis resources. Through this cooperation, NC OEMS has access to data, computer hardware and software, and personnel from NCDA&CS’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) resources. This allows NC OEMS to have access to advance mapping and analysis capabilities without the need to hire and acquire additional resources. In turn NCDA&CS benefits from this relationship by the data that has been created and maintained and by access to the results of various projects.
